Taiwan 9D8N Advice Needed

Will be travelling to Taiwan with my family for 9D8N. Advice needed from you guys here. I am planning.

2 days Taipei.
2 days Hualien.
1 day Cingjing or can I travel straight to Taichung? And how?
Rest of the trip Taipei.

Go direct to Taichung then Cingjing, Hualien and back to Taipei for the rest of the trip.

This route is possible, or go the other way from Taipei to Taichung to CJ to Hualien then back to Taipei also can.

For me, I'd go straight to Taichung when I land in Taipei, and end up back in Taipei for the rest of the trip.
