Taiwan (except Taipei)

Hi all, I'm planning a trip to TW in mid-Oct.

I have been to Taipei countless time (for personal and biz), Taichung, Hualien and Cingjing.

I would like to explore other parts of Taiwan, especially Orchid Island!

Is there any interesting itinerary to share?
There will be 2 of us travelling.

maybe can try the western part or southern part (Kaoxiong, kenting, tainan)

Rent a car and drive south to Kenting if you like coastal areas and nature. Many places and interesting sights to explore. Very friendly people.

Alternatively can take a train to Kaohsiung and then taxi/private car hire.
