My plan
Take train to Keelung
Walk around the harbour
Take the bus to Jinshan Old Street 金山老街 for lunch << any recommendations? online reviews recommend crispy fried sesame balls & a restaurant selling duck & noodles
Take the bus to Qian Shui Bay 浅水湾 << any cafe to recommend?
Take the last bus to Dan Shui
Shilin Night Market

took from danshui to jinshan b4, timing not veri good(think 1 bus per hr) bus veri small(20seater only)
can go jinshan soak hot spring, much more cheaper than beitou

Beitou... My friend says all household there can soak free as they got two taps there.

Usually not many people on 台灣好行. Good for 1 or two pax traveling. Do note lunch time wait can be as long as two hour.

you can use app to check when will the bus come

The bus interval in weekday is about 1 hour and half a hour in the weekend
