Taiwan Train System advices

Hi guys, i would be travelling to Taiwan and will be covering Taoyuan Airport -> Kaohsiung -> Hualien -> Taipei and therefore need some advices with booking of the train system.

Will be taking HSR from Taoyuan down to ZuoYing then take the normal train to Kaohsiung Main station and staying there for 2 nights.

Followed by taking TRA line from Kaohsiung main station to Hualien via Tze-Chiang Limited Express/ Chu-Kuang Express (Do not know the difference)

Then I would take the train again after 2 nights stay at Hualien to Taipei and stay for another 3 nights before heading back to TaoYuan Airport.

Is this plan feasible and also, how do I go about buying the tickets and when should I purchase it? (Before going to taiwan or go there then buy?)

Could have save that money by taking TRA, just slightly more by an hour. It's a choice.

It depends from HSR to TRA train. Not all are the same.

I used app to check. I wouldn't really quote to be faster. But more like i have to spend lesser time in the train etc.

For the T-express App, it is possible to select for more than one passenger, but are we able to use one phone to share between 2? And how is the payment done for T-express app?
