going on jan 16 to jan 24.. first time going so not sure how to plan!

Yea Tai chung just night market... cant find anything else to do there..

Hualien thinking to go Taroko Gorge but i don know there see what, only heard of water curtain cave? don know go taroko first or cing jing first

is it worth it to stay at cing jing farmstay?

taichung in the noon can visit yizhong street for food and shopping. evening time then go fengjia nm.

if u're into tourist attraction, there is also a (quite big) kong miao (confucius temple) near yizhong street.

base on your flow is taichung --> cingjing --> taroko --> hualien
Taroko is inbetween cingjing and hualien.
U go and google taroko gorge..

Really depend what you want.. shopping, scenic, eating

depends on what you are looking for. if you have kids, cingjing is a must because they will be thrilled playing with the sheeps. cingjing basically got nothing to do at night. it is a place to chill.

if you have never been to taroko gorge, it is worth a visit to look at nature.

So the flow from taichung -> hualien (homestay) -> taroko (tour) ->back to hualien (homestay) ok right? or better to go hualien then taroko then taichung then HSR back to TPE?

Cingjing is between Taichung (west) and Hualien (east). If you are taking private transportation between the two, it will cut across the central mountain ranges which is going to be relatively expensive.

Cingjing activities usually include, see sheep and sheep show (on certain days) and horse show (daily) at Cingjing Farm, take pictures at Small Swiss Garden (1 hour should be enuff), dine at Carton King (if you have not visit before other branches), early morning visit to Hehuanshan for sunrise (usually minsu can arrange for you).

Either way is gonna pass by Taipei if you dont wan book driver..

Taipei --> Taichung --> Taipei --> Hualien ( Taroko ) --> Taipei

Taichung to Hualien or Taroko , u had to by pass Cingjing.

cannot avoid.

U use google map to understand the place location and travel distance and time

Cingjing is usually arranged together with Taichung since it's quite near. Personally, Taichung I don't find much interesting things to do there. Going to Sun Moon Lake is another possibility.

hmm else i thinking this way or torpeng:

Sat - Taipei to Hualien (take choo choo train) and chill at the homestay
Sun - Taroko and go back to the hualien homestay
Mon - hualien to Taichung
Tues - Taichung to Taipei (take HSR)

then rest of the trip stay at Taipei..

When I was going from Hehuanshan (which is right in the middle between Taichung and Hualien) to Hualien, my driver-guide from Hualien offered us the option of a 2-in-1, ie. to transport us and to do the Taroko tour at the same time (since they are along the same route), but have to set off early. Literally saved an additional day of transport which can be used to tour other places but I declined as it seems a bit too rush.

You still have a fair bit of time to consider your options.

Not much choices u have if you are not going to engage a driver..

TC HSR to Taipei then TRA to Hualien or TC TRA to Hualien thru Taipei(Certain train timing if nv rem wrongly) or TC TRA to Taipei switch onto another TRA to Hualien..

For ur trip from Hualien to TC by TRA, fastest and earliest direct express would be Puyuma Express departing Hualien at 1015H and arriving Taichung at 1420H..Train code 271 and pls advance book for this..And not sure if u have enough time for what u plan for that day at TC..

If not the next express direct would be Taroko Express at 1330H and arrives at 1723H..
