Hi,

I will be travelling to Taiwan in one week's time. I am planning a visit to Taroko Gorge and I would like to know how is the shuttle bus travelling like? I will be taking the trip there on a weekday so I wonder if it gets crowded on the shuttle bus and that I will have to wait long for another one. I was thinking of getting a one-day tour package but that will cost 7 000TWD. Any other advice on getting the transport there will be greatly appreciated.

yes, if the bus is full, u need to wait for another. the the timing is abt 30min to 1hr(might b even longer)
maybe hailing a cab could b slightly cheaper(not 2 sure)

One day for 1 person is only 700NTD.
7000NTD is too much.
Other transport will be to cab, per day about 2.5K ntd.

Thank you for the reply. 7000TWD is actually a private guided tour which I found on a website. I also understand that they have tour packages at the train station.

bus condition is good. some use minj bus while some use 40 seater coach.
only the waiting time is a problem

There is usually sufficient time for you to get to the bus stop to wait for next bus.
So not to worry about it.
