I bought their TCL 50 Nxtpaper Pro from Malaysia earlier this year. The build quality feels really cheap, though you may not notice after slapping on a TPU case. Then there's no AOD, double tap to wake screen features, etc.

Also, i noticed there hasn't been any firmware updates since buying it. Not sure when it'll get updated to the latest android version. If you're particular about your monthly security updates, this is something to take note of.

If you are prone to eye strains and want a "phone" that protects your eyes from fatigue, can consider the HiBreak Pro. That one is an e-ink phone

Tcl Singapore never bring in their phones and tablets line. Tcl Malaysia hasn't made any announcement on releasing this new model. Closest for us seems to be Taiwan which is releasing this model soon.

i used to see them at RedWhite, but after a while, disappeared.
this was around covid time. can't remember just before or at the re-opening.
Dunno if these were parallel or "official" imports.

back then, their statements on number of android version support was not encouraging - i have not checked recently.

edit: did a quick search..... 2 android versions, 5 years of security updates.
