tekkiehelp.com , +6581138682 DO NOT ever use them. very professional website, says right things e.g."help people to make technology work for them, setup, configure computers, mobile devices, printers etc, took my call enquiries well,so
i contracted them for 4 tasks, was quoted it would take 3 hours max, hence $395, ( cost $90/hr plus transport $35), not only exceeded the quote by 200% but all my devices were rendered unusable!

these were the task:
1) transfer 1500+ photos on iPad to MAC, backup iPad and upgrade the iOS.... He transferred only 400+ photos, did not backup then proceeded to upgrade.i lost 900+ photos, and all data on iPad.
2) transfer contacts and 123 memos from old iPhone 3 to brand new iPhone 6s.... He should have registered a new iTunes accounts the new iPhone BEFORE the transfer, as he was told the old iPhone, has a defunct email, pacific.net as the apple id.Now the new iPhone has the defunct email as its apple ID, and the phone cannot run programs ,cos when u type in the correct password, it is impossible to verify, as the id is invalid email. this has been confirmed by apple support.
3)i have a canon printer/ fax/scanner working well directly via usb . i asked that the wireless facility be configured. this was done, BUT now it cannot work via USB port!
4) i asked for contacts to be transferred over from samsung3 to xiao mi 3 phone, this task was included in the quote. But onsite, technician says they have no expertise in android phones.

Sigh! After messing up, technician demanded to be paid $395 cos he had already spent 4 hours here but he will come again to finish up. i paid up. Then he said he will come again, but i will need to pay additional $ 90/hr , and does not know how many more hours i have to pay, "as problems are quite difficult"

Can someone please recommend a reliable IT guy?
The above task under what category of service would you classify?where can i find reliable, honest service provider/ how can i ascertain the technician is skilful enough?

one a very frustrated non tech person
