is something wrong with my CPU?
its at 50+ deg when i not even running any program.
and i just clean the heatsink a few days ago (using compress air without detaching from the chip).

i see that all your 4 cores running 3190MHz Min. check your Power Options setting. use Balanced instead of High performance.

i just checked. i am actually running on Balanced setting :s13::s13:

i tried reducing the max CPU performance from 100% to 80%. (Balanced setting default is 100%)
the CPU temp drop to 45 - 50 degC

Using i5-4460

Cpu idle temp..58 highest and min 49.

Using Intel stock HSF..

Is the temperature alright in our weather? or I should reapply thermal paste + get a new HSF?

no point comparing idle temperature as the sensor is only accurate at the last few degree celcius before boiling point of water , which is also the shutdown temperature of the cpu chip to prevent damage
the sensor is there as a safety mechanism .... using it for fan noise control is secondary .... using it to compare idle temperature is inaccurate and not it's designed function
that's why we sometimes see idle temperature 2-3 celcius lower than room ambient temperature on a cool rainy day

yes, idle sensor temp is slightly off actual temp
but 50s vs 30s range still tells u something is off...

just my contribution to this thread -
i7 4770k overclocked to 4.4ghz @1.249 (prime 95 stable) with H100i and noctua nf f12 fans
ambient: 30 C
idle: 40 c
load: 71 c (aida 64 1 hr) or 100 c (whuuttt prime 95) or around 78 c gaming (cos my gpu is mad hot)

Not sure but should be ok based on stock HSF.

If you want to improve the temperature, will have to get another after market HSF liao.

hi guys. recently install msi afterburner and rivatuner and notice my ingame cpu temperature at 90~100++ constant. i think its been like that quite awhile and cpu still seems fine.

is it normal to have that ingame? currently using stock cpu fan..

That's seems too high for a i7-3770 at stock. Time for a fresh coat of Arctic MX-4.

really? so far the pc seems still running fine..:(:(

i have cryorig c7...do i need to dissemble whole pc motherboard to put in that?

update*
just change cpu fan to cryorig c7..the hardest part is putting new thermal compound. once slap the fan, not sure how to thermal compound move.

but anyway, now the temperature while gaming is around 60~70..
