Temples in BKK

Hi guys.... appreciate if you guys could advise which is the most accessible temples within BKK city.... probably take siam/nana area as a benchmark? thanks so much...

Wat Arun is your best bet, and also the temple with the Reclining Buddha (forgot the name)

Wat Pho, temple of reclining buddha, situated next to grand palace. Wat Arun is across the river from Wat Pho

I am guessing the best way to get there is via cab from places like mbk..siam area?

Most likely u will be stucked in traffic jam. To go Wat Pho and Wat Arun, normally will take BTS to Saphan Taksin and take river express boat from central pier.

I further recommend Wat Hua Lamphong, situated jus above Sam Yan MRT station. After praying at the Wat, can proceed to the chinese temple jus beside to do merit of donating of coffin.

impt question is u looking to pay respect/offer prayers or sight see?

sight see: Wat Poh/Wat Arun/Wat Phra Khew (all 3 within walking distance)

most accessible would actually be Wat Pathum Wanaram, right in the middle of siam area

they have admission cos they are freq by tourist(aka tourist attraction). if ur looking for Wats w/o admission+convenient then Wat Pathum Wanaram fits best.

*if ur open to taking a 60-100baht cab ride, alot more Wats are open to ur choice, especially if your looking for "serenity"

S$1-$4, Wat Phra Khew most ex @S$20 as its bundled with Royal Palace admission. try to go early before the bus loads of tourist flood the place..

What time is best to go there ?

7-10am? temples are best visited @dawn, can see the monks doing morning prayers, or going in/out to collect aims. see liao feel very good.
