Hello,

I'd like to get some recommendations for a replacement keyboard for my Filco Majestouch 2 which now has a malfunctioning 'A' key. This current keyboard has brown Cherry MX switches

It must be tenkeyless, mechanical or optical and preferably have no LEDs. I've found Cherry MX Reds to be too 'hollow' so I'll strike those off now.

Using it for typing for most part and playing some games.

Thanks!

Just get any corsair or razer and switch off the LEDs.

Or order an Aukey keyboard from Amazon.

Will take a look at Corsair. The Razer will break down in a year's time. Standard behaviour.

Caution on Coolermaster quickfire. Soft plastic become sticky over time. Not suitable for our climate.

Duckyzero is good value. Lasting too

can also try Varmilo from taobao... very reliable and reasonably priced.

Ducky zero, cheap and good at $99/109.

For those who recommend the Ducky keyboards, I was told that the quality and reliability is worse than Filco keyboards?

Anyone heard of the Wooting One https://wooting.nl/en

filco is better than ducky but not by much. the price is almost double but the quality isn't twice better. another alternative to ducky, if you can purchase from taobao, is iKBC.
another filco-level one would be Leopold, which is priced almost similar.

used my ducky one for more than a year and so far so good - no problems at all. first mech keyboard to boot and dug a rabbit hole for myself to jump into with artisan keycaps etc
