The small retail investors all think that they are very clever and can squeeze the institutions over the Tesla insertion into the S&P.

The institutions however hold all of their order flow data. They know how much they bought, at what price they bought, when they bought etc.

They also know where all their stops are as well as how much of the stock is on margin.
