Placing limit order at below but close to recent one week trading price is considered arbitrary !
Something wrong with your interpretation !

I set too low entry price for ARKK .

Sent from Samsung SM-T830 using GAGT

wah bro, ARKK opened at 91.30 but you set $86 buying? Or you set $86 good till cancel?

btw I hope some day you are right but... if you are holding for >1 year, I would suggest you just buy ARKK soon at the reasonable price... don't miss the boat.

I am using SCB to trade USA shares, can set limit order up to 2 weeks only.
Sometimes forgot to adjust the target price once set. I set that $86 when ARKK was traded around $88.

This SCB trading user interface is very primitive, regardless of display real estate, can only display up to 5 records of order queue only. If you setup many orders, you may miss or double entries.

The only good thing is low commission rate that does not charge minimal fare, which allows me to test water to buy 1-2 shares to get a feel of the market directions.

Sometimes I just buy $200-$500 worth of shares to cure the FOMO !
Commission of less than $1 USD..

Recently I bought 2 FB shares..:)

ok sorry to hijack this thread.
Getting excited to see next week price actions of TSLA...

Yes.. will manage that.. expecting NASDAQ to have some form of correction next week. Can target the entry by then.

Putting my powder to add more shares counts on Tesla/AAPL .

$50k TSLA versus $50k DBS , which pick?

In the short term, Tesla.....also depends a lot on what type of rabbits Elon will pull out fr his hat on 22 Sept. The expectation will drive the Tesla price till then....

Yes have faith in Elon Musk, we need more CEO with Elon Musk traits/characters, full of passion and vision.
Indeed he is not a good speaker but his actions and results talked alot.

i am planning to hold Tesla for longer term. After battery day, if stock price come down,I will add more, if investment mindset is not set, could have heart attack with great stock price volatility of TESLA.

I see. Everyone has their own risk tolerance but if you are afraid of buyers remorse, split your money into 3 parts and buy in at different time. At least if you are wrong, your first 33% already started earning... if you are right... another 33% can come in and work better. Growth stocks like this can swing both ways very quickly... holding out means you are losing out on gains and to inflation.

(of course, there is also a chance the moment you buy, it drops 10% the next day but since we can't predict the future, the 33% is a good compromise imo, sort of timing the market but also time in the market)

Time in the market is more important than timing the market. Hence don’t give up the forest for one tree
