I'm expecting price to break $500 after battery day and if that happens I'd be very tempted to sell off most of my Tesla shares and enjoy the profits.

Sell on Tuesday before announcement, take profit, wait till price drop on Wednesday, buy in again and use profit to buy NIO.

There's also a very very tiny chance the news is so good there's no dip at all. :s22:

You are anticipating the price drop on Wednesday and buy in again?
But what makes you so sure that the price on Wednesday will be lower than your previous entry price?

I am not. That is why I suggested the possbility of no dip. Not even below entry price.
