There appears to be no more significant news apart from how many cars they sold. Ultimately it's a business that sells cars, not air.

Some would argue it's a tech company. It's a unicorn. It could be but it probably has already become a full grown beast by claiming $400b market cap out of thin air.

Unless there is stupendous amount of money keep pumping and pumping, it's not likely going to move north like what it did in the last few months.

It's a stock market, it is not a lala land when fairy tale has always good ending.

Having said, this is TESLAaaaaaaa some here will argue it willl never go bear because it is ducking Elon musk who some weed and bring people to mars and tunnel to the centre of the earth.

Another way of looking at this is that Tesla is trying to raise $5B by selling its shares fr time to time. It makes sense for them to release positive news fr time to time so that they can raise money without unduly diluting shareholders. Which may mean that they think that they have a pipeline of positive news.

That's just my guess. Pls DYODD.

Luckily they didn't add this to S&P500, CSPX is about 50% of my porfolio, as much as I hate stock picking, I really dun want this obvious bubble to be in my portfolio. Heng ah.

Its a 400b market cap company, so it should be more than 1%, and if the bubble gets bigger it will become 2, 3, or 4% easily. Thats no good.

P&G rounded off the top 10 of CSPX. market cap of around 477b. and is about 1.19%.

if it can sustain so long at that market cap to reach 2ish% then it is really something

Welcome to short TSLA !
Holding to my belief , it will head back to $533 in less than 90 days time.

My average cost price is $365. Bracing for the crash to add more.
Continue to chase for TSLA for Tesla 3 .
66% more shares to acquire.

TSLA shortists had bad time in recent times.

Short squeezes are no small matter

This means that Tesla would be 11th largest weight on S&P500 with a 1+% weight if it had been included, current 11th place company is Nvidia with 311b market cap and 1.12% weight.

It appears that SoftBank is going to continue to gobble up the call options and keep pushing the tech stocks to a new high. So when they deploy another few billions the whole market will elevate again. Plenty of chances to make huge amount of money from Tesla. It may even sail toward $1 trillion valuation. Meaning 2.5x returns if you buy today.

Any proof or article that indicates that Softbank is going to continue gobble the call options again?

According to FT: "Despite the recent sharp pullback in these shares, the article's sources say that SoftBank plans to continue buying derivatives contracts in them. If this is the case, it seems likely another rally is in store for the tech sector."

If you believe in the above then the fact that SoftBank received circa $40b from its asset divestment and it is not in hurry to buy back it's own shares seems to makes sense that these monies will be deployed via their newly created financial structure to bet short term investments.

So far we know they deploy circa a $4b. Imagine if they deploy another $10b.

Brave strategy, huge bet huge upside. But their exposure is also big, about 10x. So this is a strategy that must win, they force the brokers to buy up stocks cause these poor guys just wanna earn commission selling options they will not want to lose unlimited money cause of SoftBank.

So your call really. Will SoftBank do it again?
