Tesla Recalling 579,000 Vehicles in US for Potential Pedestrian Alert Sound Issue​

Tesla (TSLA) has notified the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration it is recalling 578,607 in the US because pedestrians may be unaware of an approaching vehicle if the warning system sounds are obscured, the regulator said in an acknowledgement letter late Wednesday.
The recall covers 2020 to 2022 Model S, Model X, and Model Y vehicles and 2017 to 2022 Model 3s. Because of the potential issue, according to the letter, the vehicles fail to comply with the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard's minimum sound requirements for hybrid and electric vehicles.
Tesla will conduct a free over-the-air software update to fix the issue, NHTSA said. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed April 5, it added.
Tesla shares were down 0.5% in recent trading.

To me, it is too late to buy these stocks. Upside limited compared to downside.

Anyone looking to short Tesla?

A quick look at your post history, I dont think you should try to short Tesla.

Sure, it might go down in the short term but it will definitely go up in the long term.

You might make a few quick bucks shorting it, but you might also be forced to cover your short.
RR ratio isn't that attractive.
