It has become a cult and my friends all get excited whenever there is his tweets or Tesla news. Might as well set up a temple to worship him when he died, like the heros from 3 kingdom.

initially i dont under the cult too, it took me very long to understand his biz and style

I would say a lot of ppl are ignorant and they want Tesla to fail just like how they want apple to fail 15-20 years ago. It is irony only Bill Gates is willing to save apple from death because he sees apple as their greatest competitor.
Yes, every car companies can do EV but not many is willing to push the boundaries like Elon. Everyday he wakes up with a mission to change everyone’s life.
That is why it is not easy to compete with Tesla.
All these got nothing to do with religious. I think kind of unfair to say they are a cult etc….it is the same kind of hype investors have when Steve jobs is alive.
