The drive to Khao Yai...long straight mostly n little boring..many lanes on highway..just follow GoogleMap..i didnt check the speed limit beforehand and was only doing 100 on the rented Camry 2.5 hybrid, sometimes 120 when i saw the speed limit on road..haha....also drove a bit inside Bangkok to check in our luggage before returning car at airport..wah seh..drivers in BKK don observe small traffic lights...need to bash out sometimes...haha..but good experience though..next trip will plan for Hua Hin..

Many reviews say Hua Hin is over-rated. I read that Prachuap Kiri Khan, another 1.5h drive to the south, is relatively unspoilt for beaches and seafood. In particular, an area known as Wing 5 is interesting. The province also marks the narrowest point of the country. I will make a beeline for it the next time I visit Thailand.
