Actually you guys should set the battery to Stamina mode and it should control the background processes. Mine I left it at 100% overnight and morning I wake up the phone, it is 97%. So its not too bad. My samsung Note 3, I also did the same, it dropped to 89%. I just changed the battery to a new one after the old one went bloated after slightly 2 years of use.

Simply to say, the Sony seems to control their background processes better. Even my RIP HTC Butterfly S also have good standby battery life compared to the Samsung Note 3 which is my main phone.

Yup, on standby my z5 can last at least 45min dropping 1%. I will monitor on a normal use to see how it goes.

The person on the other side of the line say that my voice volume is very low :s is there a setting or fix for this guys?

Is this ur 1st xperia device? If yes then u will get used to it, as compared to Moto etc. the incoming/outgoing voice quality is low on Sony.

quality or volume? For both, professional reviewers disagree with you. Or is this your own personal opinion?

OOooooooh big man resurrecting a 2012 clone account. Your e-peen is strong! You don't even know me or the devices i own, have owned, or tested.

"Don't mess with me" - big words, small man.

But judging by your statements which goes against every reviewer, you're just a poor clone account of another liar with no proof. LOL!

Actually it also has to do with the network at different places.

Used to call on 3G network on my Z3.
Tried ST VoLTE and everything sounds better, not just clearer.

I get about 4hrs of sot with this phone

I'm wondering how big of improvement over the battery capacity these couple of years. based on average users ,do you people mean the SOT last time only like 2hrs?
because I always see fellow users nowadays posting SOT results like 4-6hrs.

I think my xperia Z in march 2013 managed to clock at least 4hrs SOT.
my usage pattern is the same these years, only surfing the browser (including Facebook, not the standalone app) with music.

now using Z3 (2014 model), can clock SOT of 3x longer.
granted, I don't game or watch/stream video.

how about fellow android users?

Same. My previous xperia also clock 4-6 hours sot.

I think phone become more powerful, so much that battery technology hasn't been able to keep up

New processor etc are more powerful, but more hungry for battery juice also.

Thus phones battery life seems to be stagnant. Shall wait for technology breakthrough in batteries, to see significant improvement in battery life on smart phone
