The Xperia Z4 and Xperia Z3+ are barely out in the market for four months and rumor has it that Sony is planning to unveil a trio of new smartphones later this year.

According to Technodify, Sony is alleged to be launching the Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Compact, Xperia Z5 Ultra and other new variants in September. Unlike the recently announced Xperia Z4 and Z3+, the Xperia Z5 is expected to pack a punch.

The Xperia Z5 is said to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB RAM and a whopping 4,500mAh battery. It reportedly retains the signature OmniBalance design. Other rumored specs include a new 21-megapixel Sony Exmor RS IMX230 CMOS sensor and 4K video recording capability.

It's been almost two years since Sony introduced the 6.44-inch Xperia Z Ultra and we are excited to see what the Japanese company brings to the table this year with the Xperia Z5 Ultra. We are also crossing our fingers that Sony will introduce a new design language like this for its new smartphones.

Still rumors but in line with LG G4 pro with SD820. People said there will be another Sony release this yr. Could this be the one!

even at 2k display, battery should be good enough as long as the screen is not bigger than 5.5"

2K is already overkill on screen sizes less than 6".

You might hard pressed to find any good uses for 4K display on that small screen.

Another dream phone specifications.

Ram: reasonable
Display: unlikely if they would introduce Z5 ultra.
Processor: name?
Cameras: dreamy mode
Internal storage: another dreamy mode
Battery: more likely to be in the Ultra version.

will be looking out for this.
originally was gonna use my z3 for the full 2yrs of my contract. my the last week had been really disastrous and at the same time lucky.

dropped my phone countless times... broke 2 tempered glass screen protector... now using my 3rd one. the phone screen didn't had damage but the corner ot the frame was bent...

gonna give z3+ a miss and look at this since my contract can be renewed in Oct.
