Hi

Asus has this new feature to stamp the date taken on the photo. Nice useful optional feature.

As I am thinking of making a switch, does xperia have this feature on Z5?

Ummm
Time and date info can be found on the file info.
Welcome to the technological era, time traveler. ;)

Oh so u are here as well, how many devices you have used kid? Or you are professional reviewer?
I have tested as many devices as u hvnt seen in ur life so please dont mess with me.

Whoa, kid.
If you don't wish to have anybody messing with you, at least make sure you pay attention with your English classes instead of presenting us with poor grammar and spelling and piss people off.

Not as if you're any good in doing reviews either, so no point dissing others, right? ;)

I don't use stamina mode one and it have been good all this while :)

But everyone has different usage.
Some may use gps, auto sync or mobile data all day long and still expects two days of battery life. :D

I am not a fan of Timescape, also have no use for it.

I like Sony for the design language.

What's the point of having Timescape when you don't use it?

Haha exactly my point of your earlier post of the stamina mode part.
There will be people who don't appreciate the good things others help create one lah.

And don't get me wrong, unlike my earlier reply, you don't fall into the 'kid' category cos it's not as if you go around complaining about Timescape like those kids about 'bloatwares'.

Peace~

Argh super super disappointed with this phone so far. Not sure if mine is broken?

Battery drains incredibly fast. Z3 battery lasted a full day on heavy usage. Attaching pic of how fast it drains. Stop charging 6pm, empty by midnight. Wtf.

I bought this battery over the Z3+ because apparently overheating is fixed, and battery last 2 days again. Neither of those issues seem fixed.

oh man. your usage looks similar to mine - Snapchat, WhatsApp and Spotify.

hmm do you have GPS and Auto-Sync turned off when you don't use them? IIRC Snapchat and WhatsApp probably use those behind your back if you don't turn the function off.

you can try toggling the screen brightness a bit lower too I dunno.. bad battery life has been common here and on reddit. think only one guy on this thread posted 5H SoT lol

My z2 also drain battery once a while recently.
And caused by Google services. I don't know whether this will be fixed or not.
After the webview has been updated

No complaints for timescape, just not using it since no use for me personally.

On the contrary, people wants better battery life but not using stamina mode is a baffling matter.

I have no use for umbrella when it does not rain.
But people do not want to get wet and yet do not use umbrella when raining.

Got it? :D

That is what people said when some says to use the camera manual mode over superior mode.

What is the point of stamina mode if you do not use it?

My S5 is also running on power saving mode, no need to care whether fair or not, since not all phones are built to be equal.

well. truthfully... the manual mode is kinda a letdown...and I'm coming from a windows phone xD

I'm not looking for unrealistically long battery life, I just see reviews and their 4-5 hours of SOT. and I haven't had it even near that nowadays make me wonder if my set is defective /issues its our temperature in Sg higher causing higher battery drain, or is it reviewers got use stamina mode while testing. that and what kind of apps is installed in their phone as compared to mine and such. @-@ it's too overly complicated. but I'm sure I'll not give a crap after a while with this phone lol

hmm do you have GPS and Auto-Sync turned off when you don't use them? IIRC Snapchat and WhatsApp probably use those behind your back if you don't turn the function off.

Nope, don't like toggling GPS on/off as I use it a lot. For auto-sync, means i won't get emails pushed to me as they come in, right? Also something I need as I often get time sensitive emails.

Screen brightness I usually keep at the lowest.

feeling very sian now

Eh if your GPS & Auto Sync is always in use then I don't think you should expect very good battery life, unless the previous phone you were using under the same usage has much better battery life.

I also suggest toggling Stamina mode and white list your email app(s). Leaving Auto Sync on not only pushes your email, there are many background syncs with Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google accounts etc etc. It's a lot of work for a phone lol

Afaik reviewers normally test with benchmarks and scripts to run web browsers and videos.
Their set have only minimal apps, without testing common apps like FB or messenger.

So it is most likely for reference than representation of real life usage.

Is auto-sync just pushing notifications for my apps like gmail/Facebook/twitter etc? Isn't the point of a phone to get those notifications?

My GPS is only used when I'm in an app that uses GPS - primarily google maps and snapchat.

And yes, I was using Z3 the same way.

so far i managed to keep the battery under control. last night's drain from 80% --> 20% overnight was probably a once off thing.

i turned on stamina mode when i slept, drained about 10% so not too bad.

i also only turn on location services when i need them and auto sync is turned on (just for emails, facebook, whatsapp, messenger, etc).

i also installed greenify and hibernated the apps that are not used in the background.

so far so good. did a short skype call yesterday for about 5 minutes and boy did the z5 heat up!

still haven't solved the wifi connection to the lousy starhub modem though. hopefully some sort of fixed is released soon.

Draining 10% overnight is bad.

My Z3 on lollipop only drains less than 5% overnight, while S5 on kitkat drains about 2 or 3%.

The SH wifi is a lost cause. Bad connection no matter which phone I used.

that's a bummer. esp if they don't install the "standard" apps but oh well. I'm slowly coming to terms with it. all the hype and reviews painted the z5 to have a slightly worse off battery as compared to the z3 so I had my hopes up. it still lasts longer than my L920 even with more intense gaming so :)
