The battery life is better on the Z5P. It all boils down to whether you really wish to spend another 120. Of course, there's better resale value for the Z5P as well. So I'd say just go for it.

Power Button wasn't working for a few hours

Xperia Z5 (non-premium)

Just thought I should share this fright that I had earlier today.

I had a busy morning, going to Giant IMM, then to Mustafa Centre. So my phone was almost drained from the morning navigation usage and shopping list checking.

I used a Xiaomi Portable charger to juice it up while I took the train to Jurong Point. When I got to my lunch place, I couldn't get the screen on by pushing on the power key. I thought the phone was dead, so I plugged in the charger. That was when it showed the home lock screen before the fingerprint-unlocking. Everything was still working fine, (the fingerprint reader) just that the power key is unresponsive. Therefore I couldn't turn the screen on/off by using the power key. I had to resort to using the camera key instead.

Reluctantly, I went home to backup my data. (Sony likes to data wipe your phone during servicing) I forgot the phone will reset if you pull out the sim/sd card tray, so it did. When it turned back on, the power key is working again.

That's the situation up to now.

tl;dr = power key was unresponsive but works again after forcefully reset by removing sim/sd tray

I hope it was just a rare hiccup :(

Maybe u got a defective set? The intermittent errors are the worst. Which could point to some loose wiring or contacts within the phone :(

Man, I hope not. Recontracted and got this during the Sitex Fair in November last year. It's been a smooth experience so far. There was once it reset for no reason  But I will be more cautious now

one problem i faced:
When i connected to LTE, i can receive push messages (whatsapp, skype, email, etc) promptly.
But when connected to Wifi, the messages were delayed, or never refreshed till I manually refresh it.
The "locate my xperia" function also cannot locate me in Wifi connection, but able to do so in LTE mode.

My iphone, when connected to Wifi, doesn't have this issue.

Anyone face same problem as me?

4 months. Mayb i installed too many apps
still, 4 mths is too fast for battery to lose charge. got go battery setting and see which are the worst offending apps and restrict their background operations? Lastly, u can delete the facebook app and convert to using a browser shortcut instead. I hear facebook app drinks data and battery like WRX STI drinks petrol :p

New Z5 owner here.
Would like to know if we can change the lockscreen pull down short cut?
Currently there is no Mobile Data option at there. Only Wifi, Bluetooth, Flashlight, Portrait, Cast Screen and Airplane Mode. I will need to unock the phone and pull down the short cut again to on mobile data and off wifi. Is there any way to change the shortcut?
