I believe AMD temps sensor is not as accurate as Intel...and it measures only one general spot.
Thats why you see those Phenom2 only 60 degree for all cores while Core shows 65-72 for four cores..something like that.
PD seems to be the same case..
Interesting theory there, any convincing evidence to back it up or just your own personal opinion cos anyone can have their own opinions without proof.

btw, have you ever used a FX-8350 yourself?

Handbrake 2nd Pass Only
Truly amazing Vcore regulation throughout 2nd pass as reported by the onboard sensor, I wonder if all CHV samples are like that

From my testing, the newer 1.90/1.91A BIOS meant for Vishera have terrible RAM compatibility issues. Fortunately, version 1.80c works well enough with my Ripjaws Z for some Vishera bashing.

Newer isn't always better in this case. :)

Now using

different mobos = different CPU socket sensors
different coolers - Kuhler 920 vs Enermax 240ELC

Overall, CPU DTS readings are quite similar though.

sorry i assumed u used the same cooler, i guess thats the main performance issue comes in.

as for temp sensor i believe it should had been calibrated and should not have so much deviation. or did u use a diff thermal paste?

It's a different test rig with a different Fx-8350 chip as well, batch 1227PGN.

For such test rigs, I simply use whatever thermal grease I can conveniently grab within my reach, used the white Thermalright bundled TIM this time. :)

forgot the link but it was some software developer...
it is true lah.
technically also make sense what, amd use older process, they used more transistors than intel counterpart, leak more watts.

Alamak, get software developer to comment on hardware DTS sensors seem a bit imba to me and some more your software developer so famous until you can't remember the name even... :)

If anyone can just quote some source and proclaim it to be the ultimate truth, then maybe we should all be buying FX-8350 chips since this article shouts it out so loud & clarion clear.

Future-proofing your PC for next-gen gaming - Eurogamer.net

We approached a number of developers on and off the record - each of whom has helped to ship multi-million-selling, triple-A titles - asking them whether an Intel or AMD processor offers the best way to future-proof a games PC built in the here and now. Bearing in mind the historical dominance Intel has enjoyed, the results are intriguing - all of them opted for the FX-8350 over the current default enthusiast's choice, the Core i5 3570K.

...not only does the FX-8350 outperform the i5, it also offers up an additional, minor margin of extra performance over the much more expensive Core i7 3770K - a processor that's around £100 more expensive than the AMD chip.

This must be also the absolute truth since it is on the Internet... some more it is an actual article posted by the reliable Eurogamer.net website quoting the "respected German site PC Games Hardware" so got to be double confirmed chopped and signed truer than the truth! =:p
