I don't even bother with chipset driver nowadays. The PSP driver for my 5800X3D system is dated 2/9/2021 version 4.15.0.0 :s13:

Updated the chipset drivers. No idea what has changed but so far so good, system continues to work fine.

Opted to wait for 2nd gen Zen 5 launch before switching platform and went for a mini "upgrade" instead. Not doing major benchmarks, just a quick test with Cyberpunk 2007 ( No RTX / High / 1440p )

@Yongkit @Mach3.2

The thermal conductivity of PTM7950 is insanely good, even when applied to an IHS on a CPU.

This setup is entirely silent in a non-meshed mATX case, with the top and sides covered.

Fans are 3 in 1 out setup, all running below < 1200 RPM.

The 5800x is paired with Scythe Fuma2 cooler with PBO values 107-72-105.

Testing was done at controlled temperature ambient 28c.

I never expected it to be this good. This ultimately beats anything that I ever tried.

The only downside is that the transition period took about 2 days to settle in after the first application. My initial results from 2 days ago were easily 10c higher than now. It can take quite a while to fill the gaps since it repeatedly goes from solid to liquid.

So the night after I cleaned my computer with a fresh application and booted up Horizon West at release, it went near 80c, and after about 30 minutes, it magically went down, which I found weird.

Just yesterday, I realized my CPU has never gone past 63c anymore while hitting the max boost clock. That's why I decided to run the test.

What can I do to if PBO curve optimizer is not available on my board BIOS ? Temps can go up to 60-65 with just web browsing, YouTube and hover around 75 during gaming. Will changing the PPT / TDC / EDC values help with lowering the temps ? According to HWInfo, the default values for my 5700x3D are 142 / 95 / 140 ( PPT / TDC / EDC )

PBO2 Tuner. You can check out the video below, just start at the 2 minute mark.

Lowering pbo values only helps for multicores. When you game it's not taxing all cores, just a few cores. There's no way you hit ppt in gaming, lol.
