Just wish to share something.

If you all willing to pay a belt which is hovering at the $500 range.
There's something you all may want to consider before making any choice.

Some belt's buckles can be taken out. Some simply can't.

Example for Gucci, alot of their favourite designs, their buckle are attached by stitches.
And the stitches do come off over time. Gucci has a bad reputation for durability.
When it's due time for the leather strap, there's nothing you can do to "renew" it's life.

Imagine one day 10-20 years later you want to pass your expensive belt to your son.
Those with changeable strap can just replace the strap. Making it last "indefinitely"
You can just buy a cheaper strap.

Your buckle will always hold some value.
From what i know , the strap will always cost alot more than the buckle, so if you strap is something with more distinctive prints or some unique matchings. You will have to pay alot in future for replacing the original strap as well, as there won't be 3th party ones.

Brands i likes are:
Ferragammo - The logo is distinctive, the material is good.
Hermes - Big brand, what more can i say, but to be honest, Hermes is more mature looking. The slender "H" buckle, looks more graceful. Replacing the strap will... ouch.
LV - Elegant designs but they are smart, they make their strap unique, so when you want to replace the strap, you have to get from them and it is going to cost you a bomb as well.
AX - Affordable design belts for young adults.
Kenneth cole - if you like those simple buckle designs, they are quite good and affordable.
Hugo boss - Some designs are quite nice which don't really cost much.

Today i went to AX at ngee ann city.. found the AX logo belt but dont have my size.. only left size 36 and 38 only.. was very tempted to buy size 36 but my friend working at there told me not to take as 36 is too big and if i punch hole also not nice.. so end up didnt take but i like the belt very much.. she helped me to check stock with the other outlet and still no available.. she said need 3 month to replenish stocks again.. wth loh.. how come so fast no stock one.. -,-.. anyone know where can i buy it? can i buy it online?

Good, when you get your belt can show your friend ask whether is authentic. haha.
But it's the same thing from what i know.

The correct length for a belt should be, it should not go pass your front to your side so long.

But take note as one ages, in higher chances, your waist will become bigger than slimmer, so you may want to get something slightly longer if you want.

As long ya happy and the belt brings out your look, who cares whether is cheap or exp.

But i always tell people, the belt is at the centre of your body.
It's at a prime location showing your status.
Like the nose on our face, it plays a significant role whether your whole outlook be nice.

From far, someone may not be able to see your Rolex watch, your BMW in your garage, your branded shirt's tag behind your neck, your expensive wallet in your pocket, your whatever little expensive ornaments which you maybe carrying.

But they can definitely see your belt.

Oh well, I still love my Agnes B belt. Simple buckle, quality cow leather, it's very thick. And it doesn't cost much, I bought it at $70 after 10% discount. Highly recommand Agnes B belt to people who wants something nice and yet it won't cost a bomb, also it fits well for both casual and formal wear. Their price range is from $70+ to $120 IIRC.

actually some of ferragamo belts have very unique signature buckles also. For cow/calf belt just oil with leather cream once in a while will keep it lasting.
