Same but once I adjusted the strap to flush the bag top with my shoulder, all is comfy. The downside is the bag can feel hot due to prolong carrying. Maybe the heat cannot dissipate well. Definitely not suitable for buibui

The ventilation part sounds like goruck one as well..

Evergoods wants to make it looks sleek like Goruck. That's why it doesn't have airflow channel at the back. After all, the founder of Evergoods is the cofounder of Goruck.

From what I observe, most bag designers can design the front soooo much but back support or back ventilation roughly same pattern/type one. The worst is just one flat piece. Can even claim will keep back cool but logic already tell how effective it really is.
I avoid those flat back type like a plague.
Common ones with added padding to create air channels is better than none but still meh....
The better ones personally for me is those suspension system with ventilated mesh types but those is hardly available for urban type bags. I use to own a black Tatonka 20 liters for nearly 10 years. Used it for work, travel,in concert (smuggle a DSL in the bottom hidden compartment) .... basically everywhere.

Edit
Due to Tatonka wear & tear, I used

Not sure if its nostalgia, but so far all those packs I used just cannot compete. Hence been always changing. :s13:

Just a note that it only ships out late November. Probably early December receive.

If u are sharing with someone, better to make clear how u intend to agree on payment terms in case the othet buyer pull out due to the long wait.

Personally, I would not go through the hassle plus get hit with an iffy admin charge (for processing the gst) as well as the gst itself.

suspended wire mesh back is it? like the deuter air comfort?

deuter quasar with that was my 1st $$ backpack way back. super airy and comfy. major downside is the curved steel spring sheets that suspends the mesh back consumes real estate inside the pack

for light loads these are awesome. will hardly see such in indy brands as it is not cost effective to build.
