fantastic choice but for 200 sgd? i think for tote bag, yes you can get it for 200. but for briefcase or rucksack. they dont go lower than 300 unless on 20% off.

mm yea it all boils down to the shipping...

the ones im interested in are either the passage dispatch @ $135USD or the field bag medium @ $220 USD or the carry-on small @ $260USD.

if i get the bag from amazon, that's 10% of those prices from outlandusa. hopefully i get cheaper shipping if i participated in some sorta MO...but i hear this bags are heavy...so that's gonna be another factor to consider .

went orchard window shopping today...

went to visit all possible stores that might be selling mens' bags along the whole orchard stretch. Was looking for vintage looking messenger bags. Saw a couple of coteelciel bags at the mandarin gallery. IMO, just a tier up from manhatten portege + price premium for uniqueness/abstract design of the bag lol.

Almost got the large canvas bag from fossil@ION for $159, but decided against it. Walked down the road and went into the Projectshop@paragon and I was sold. Awesome place for vintage bags . One caught my eye but then blinded me with the pricetag. Tiny looking bag with a compartment for 13.3" laptops for $269 . Looks really nice though. Can't believe I'm still considering it at that premium.

anyone know if its possible to view the projectshop's catalogue online? the website i got on the namecard just redirects me to the cafe's mainpage.

hi avex, try needsupply.com. they have free shipping above usd 250 and they have filson and property of. also, look at the herschel supply. i think if some colours out of stock you can reserve/pre order. if im nt wrong, projectshop stocks are mostly property of too.

and for filson, get 257 if you have laptop cos 256 nt really much space if u have laptop.

i checked out needsupply.com and their range of filson and property of... bags are sorta poor. they only offer filson duffels and briefcases. i'm looking for a messenger that i can bring on road/field trips, that can double up as a casual work bag to and fro office.

looking at the prices of the property of... bags @ needsupply, it seems the $269 i was quoted isnt so bad afterall.
Anyway i feel that if i'm gonna have to spend up to 250usd for free shipping, i might as well invest in that property of... bag and satisfy some of that need for instant gratification .

the more i think of it, the passsage dispatch isn't suitable for my needs or stature. i'm planning to carry about a 13.3" laptop so the passage dispatch would be too big. The compartments look great though, but the big filson logo plastered to the front of the bag kills the simplicity of the design.

found a few pics of the property of... bag that caught my eye @ the paragon.

it's listed as $255usd (so the $267sgd pricetag isn't so far off), although the dimensions are surprisingly wide and it might be for the larger version. I wonder if they measured the bag flat. I can get the passage dispatch by filson for $185 shipped if any ebags MO'er decides to reopen, so i'm still juggling between the 2. But I need to make a decision before holiday season .
