Anyone got any recommendations for a backpack? Any particular brands? Anyone have any experience with herschel?

budget?

Arcteryx Arro 22 or a cheaper alternative black Gregory Muir 24

Gregory Shoulder Blade

Goruck GR1

Nanamica cycling backpack

Eastpak Hudson

Property Of... 's waxcloth backpacks are pretty sturdy too. may be heavy but not as heavy as tarp lined messenger backpacks from Chrome/MissionWorkshop etc

I'm looking at about $100? Possibly $150 too. So Herschel has poor construction and materials ey?

Will check those models you listed, cheers.

Cannot resist a new bag. Just bought this yesterday at Paragon.

Happy with the material and size of bag.

Details of the bag can be found at:

how much is this?

is there any place in SG that sells bags lik this but cheaper? <100?

anyone with the cote et ciel rucksack? went to vivo to check it out, it seems like getting the laptop in or out will require some tactical maneuver.

and the main compartment doesn't seem that big either...

anyone can comment on this?

read the comments.

i like to follow this site for all the quirky stuff

anyway just go look and feel how your usual tech packs $100 like deuter/osprey/tatonka++ (use as benchmark for decent durability for say just school use)

compare with the $200+++ above bags like those made in USA messengers are constructed

and also stuff by porter tokyo, i feel they have excellent stitching.

feel the material, see if the stitchin is sturdy (intervals not wide), zippers, whether design is practical or not etc

think herschel is available here locally. go feel it, if quality can't match your basic benchmark = don't waste $ on that junk

Hey, my friend bought the black one for use in NS.
Its amazing, he can fit one pair of no.4 boots, uniform + pants and pt kit.
At first looks big, but once you clip the side looks slim.
And best part still left some space. :s22:

price range should be the same ? around 290, i didnt ask.

i saw the weird design for the laptop compartment and how it could potentially be a pain to take out a laptop, i just put it back.

but still... the design is nice...

i think the shop is called DG Lifestyle or something, 2-3shops beside starbucks? its on the other end, opposite the cinema.
