can i check with u yr shipping is abt how much for that bag? just want to roughly gauge the shipping for bags from porter
I only get my porters when I'm overseas.
No point paying shipping for porters, it'll end up abt the same as the stores in sg.

my rule of thumb, buy when they are having sale, otherwise, it will be expensive. Do take note of the interbank charges and GST if you purchase over $400.

its about 20 to 30 pounds.

I remembered mine was 30 pounds when i bought it during the sale period. Our SG currency was weaker that time though, thats why more exp. Buy the items when they are on sale. Save quite a fair bit.

Wow looks nice but the price is pretty steep.

Well i guess 100+ bah but i feel that this amt might not be able to get these kinda leather bags. :O

Goldlion or Zara for a start.

The retail price in SG was $6xx if i am not wrong @ the flagship APC store at Raffles Hotel Arcade. It is made of full calf leather, and i firmly believe i bought it at a steal at $2xx after shipping. APC is not a japalang brand btw. You could no longer find APC bags in full leather in the market at that kind of price range anymore. Even their basic shirts and jeans cost $1xx.

hehe, i prefer getting them over in HKG.
we (my gf and I) have a member card that lets us have 10% off items, and that's not saying we already don't have to pay 7% GST over there that HK doesn't have.

Quite big savings, regardless of the exchange rate. Even better than TW I must say.

Almost every luxury item, or normal item in singapore is overpriced. If you could get VAT refunds, save the 7% tax,and take advantage of the exchange rates, lower retail prices due to competition! its great! If i were you, i would have considered buying some small leather accessories, and perhaps a luxury watch. Look at how much you can save! :s13:

ok la, watch wise, i'm more utilitarian than one to indulge.
i'll stay loyal to my seiko divers for now, especially for someone as rough as me, it wont be justifiable for me to wear luxury watches, plus not to mention the pricey tags they carry.

Did you buy online? Shipping is expensive. I'm keen on the rucksack,

Bought it at the Denim Store. Price is not bad. Not too far off from Filson website.

And customer service from Filson is top notch. Found cracks on my leather strap. TDS ask me to deal complain directly to Filson which I did and Filson shipped me a brand new strap FOC.
