Hello!

There is currently a Swatow restaurant on level 2 near toa payoh library. Prior to this, it used to be another chinese dim sum restaurant (before swatow).

Anyone remember what is the name of the chinese restaurant? Near Toa Payoh library. Above the current Giant

Many old folks like it for sentimental value but cannot make the flight of steps up… is not uncommon see grandkids or helpers carrying the ah gong/ah ma up/down to the restaurant.. quite a touching sight.

Last time when it was Fortune Restaurant 幸福饮茶酒楼, there was actually a fountain outside the library, haha. And kids used to ask their parents to let them ride on the "car-battery" operated rides. Uncle was charging $0.50 for a short ride on those toy car. Just next to the fountain.. Anyone remember? 1980s...
