After being put to pasture a few years ago following a string of disappointing films and a ho-hum return to TV, the Muppets are a pop culture phenomenon once again.

Now, comfortably middle aged, the zany puppets who came to prominence in the 1970s with "The Muppet Show" have recaptured their youthful bravado.

And they're doing it by popping up all over the Disney corporate matrix, including appearances on ABC and ESPN programs, top billing on the Walt Disney Company's homepage and, soon, in a network special and feature film written by "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" star Jason Segel.

"A Savage Symphony - The History Of Annihilation", the new DVD from German thrash metal veterans DESTRUCTION, will be released on January 29.

The disc was produced by Berlin, Germany's Roax Films and will include footage of the group 25th-anniversary concert at the 2007 edition of the Wacken Open Air festival in Wacken, Germany (featuring many special guests, including former bandmembers), a band documentary and tons of bonus live material.

German power metal band SINBREED (formerly NEOSHINE), which features in its ranks guitarist Flo Laurin, BLIND GUARDIAN drummer Frederik Ehmke and SEVENTH AVENUE vocalist Herbie Langhans, will release its debut album, "When Worlds Collide", in Europe on March 26 via Ulterium Records.

Release dates for Japan and North America will be announced shortly.
