Oh it was freakin' sweet. The pit at August Burns Red and Suicide Silence was brutal as hell. Surprisingly I enjoyed Megadeth as well, even though I have listened to very little of them.

icic .. glad to hear that u had enjoyed e moment .

Haha yeah it was painful the next morning. Thank goodness the school year was over for me at that point :s13:

@redalert123: Dunno what metal genres you listen to (although by your previous post concerning Rotting Christ, Belphegor and Melechesh, probably not the same genres as I :D) but I'm psyched for Asking Alexandria's releases later this year and early next (an EP in a few days, remixed version of their first album in January and their 2nd album in February).

Also, Electric Wizard is releasing their new album in January. Can't wait for that either.

Awww, lucky! I wish they would hurry up and play in New Zealand. Also, Rob Schneider the comedian?

EDIT: After doing some research, only 150 tickets available for Asking Alexandria??? What kind of rubbish is that?

Yup, Rob Schneider the comedian... doing a stand up comedy... I was hoping for Russell Peters actually... :s13:

150 tickets, and 50 of them are actually early bird tickets. Venue is *Scape. That place is too big for a 150 people gig. I rather they held it at Fort Canning.

And speaking of Fort Canning, I wonder if AA knew it was their countrymen's command post in WW2... :D

Just a few weeks after being dropped from Avenged Sevenfold's touring line-up, it appears that Mike Portnoy has also been rejected from Dream Theater.

On Portnoy's official forum he has confirmed that he did try to rejoin Dream Theater and that they refused his offer:

Quote:
Just for the record, this is indeed true..

Fairly recently, I reached out to the guys to try and make amends and offered to reconcile for the sake of having peace back in our lives...(plus I know how much it meant to alot of the fans...)

I figured it was still possible to try and save us because they hadn't made any announcements yet or begun any public activity with another drummer...but sadly, they declined my offer (well, actually their lawyer did...they didn't even tell me themselves....)

Sorry gang, I honestly gave it my all...

So now the fans on my twitter and facebook can please stop asking me to go back to DT...I tried, and the door is now shut...the ball is now in their court, not mine...

Regarding Portnoy's initial dismissal from Avenged Sevenfold, the band released a statement late last week stating in part:

For the past few months, we've been blessed with Mike Portnoy's talent and humanity. When Mike agreed to tour with us, it was only through the end of 2010. We always knew we'd need to find another solution for 2011 and beyond. And it's time for us to take that next step."

Asking Alexandria's "Life Gone Wild" EP is wholly unremarkable. 2 Skid Row covers, 2 remixed tracks from "Stand Up And Scream", an unreleased demo version of "I Was Once, Possibly, Maybe, Perhaps A Cowboy King" and a new song. This is the new song:

It's not ****, but I just hope the "Reckless And Relentless" album has better stuff. Also, their remix album "Stepped Up And Scratched" better be good :s13:
