haha so u dunt like gothic metal...=:p

for afbug1 i tink type o negative is his cup of tea...:s22:

neway.. any ideas about fear factory and deftones... i jus admires chino moreno of deftones on how he scrreams... totally wicked...

not exactly that me don't like it totally ..neither would me hate it .
hmmm .. maybe due to e fact that me am rather not keen on female fronted bands 'cept for AE .

in fact earlier this year me had gotten "Meza Virs" CD ..a local gothic metal band .. acty recommended 1st by sm1 here b4 ..

..& me thought they're excellent .

FF already disbanded right ? hmmm ..what's his name .. dino cazares? set up a new band of his own .. posted e vid few pages back .
as for deftones ..yea he's got a nice vox .. like a couple of their songs .
iirc me got their only CD somewhere among e stax of loads within my CD's collections .. e one with e white horse cover ?

-------------------------------------

so u're gg to e gig tmr ? :s11:
not really into hardcore stuffs but thx for e infos anw ..

..& wow! 14 death metal bands in 1 nite .. think my ears would dropped off in an instant .
e bands' logos if not for e description under each .. me could barely decipher .
espc like wormrot's logo design . nicely done & it's pretty kewl . :D

Nightrage reminds me of another band that's quite similar .
at e tip of my tongue but just cant rem e band's name . :p

anyone knows how to get their album?

u can try either Inokii at Far East Plaza or alternatively at Queensway SC basement ..
cant rem e shop name but it's just beside e toilet .

any of e abovementioned shops u can place ur orders there .
pricewise probably depends on e title .. should be less than $35/- .

To me, as long as its metal or sounds like metal, its alright, nevermind the style of singing. I think punk, esp hardcore is kinda related to metal. Like some long lost cousins. :s13:

thats because they are related. where do you think the speed and aggression of early thrash metal acts like slayer came from?

are you being sarcastic here? :s22:

and yes, they are all part of the rock family.

What sarcastic? U should really say that they are part of the Rock family and its the magical side of Rock music that can be so different and diverse that sometimes, they seem remotely distant but yet form part of Rock music.

" The Root of all Evil " a compilation album from e 1st 3 AE albums covered by AG .

Dead Inside from e album "Burning Bridges"

Diva Satanica from e album "Stigmata"

Arch Enemy - The Root Of All Evil

Arch Enemy's original vocalist was Johan Liiva, who was with the band for their first three albums. He departed the group in 2000, and was replaced by Angela Gossow. For their latest studio album The Root Of All Evil, Arch Enemy has re-recorded songs from those first three albums: Black Earth (1996), Stigmata (1998) and Burning Bridges (1999). It's set for an October 6, 2009 North American release on Century Media Records.

Originally recorded with ever changing band members, The Root Of All Evil includes classic tracks as “Beast Of Man”, “The Immortal”, “Transmigration Macabre” and “Bridge Of Destiny” with the vocals of Angela Gossow and several completely new bass lines by Sharlee D’Angelo. The project was approached with the idea of having the possibility to re-add these songs to the bands live set and follow up the release with some special touring activity.

The album was recorded at a few different locations in Sweden and produced by Arch Enemy with Daniel Erlandsson and Rickard Bengtsson handling the engineering. It was mixed and mastered by Andy Sneap.

The Root Of All Evil Tracklisting:

The Root Of All Evil (Intro)
Beast Of Man
The Immortal
Diva Satanica
Demonic Science
Bury Me An Angel
Dead Inside
Dark Insanity
Pilgrim
Demoniality
Transmigration Macabre
Silverwing
Bridge Of Destiny
