TWEAK.DK /-/ ASRock Z87M OC Formula - Pris og konklusion

10.png

editiors-choice%20copy.gif

ASRock Z87M OC Formula also proved to overclock higher than MSI Z87 XPOWER, which was very much surprised me. But of course in a really good way. But I really had not seen coming.

The price of this motherboard is also a lot more affordable than many other similar motherboard and it is definitely a positive thing.

All in all, this motherboard 100% recommended. It does what it promises and more, and it deserves a score of no less than 10! Well done, ASRock.

Pros:
Great looks
Good for overclocking
Many useful features
Good performance for the money

Negative:
No

A perfect score?!!

AnandTech | ASRock Z87M OC Formula Review

Using this ASRock Z87 board has been a joy. To be honest, based on the layout and limitations of a M-ATX format, trying to run two GPUs is a bit of a pain, but for single cards, it is a very solid board. The BIOS is quite possibly the best I have ever seen. The setting descriptions are better than any I have seen from any vendor in ten years of overclocking.

More than a week of varied stress testing and many video transcoding runs later - this Z87M OC Formula sample has been performing simply superb!

Highly recommended. :)

Kids seem to like the frenetic gaming though it's still a beta with bugs and all

Finally tried it out myself and yes, the Titanfall beta already seems a pretty enjoyable and polished fast paced game in its present state. :)

PS: o'cing my old Adata value RAM sticks (bought in HK, S$20/4GB back then) on the Z87M OC Formula to 1866C9 1T at 1.55V here

Delidding without razor or hammer
Slow and gentle, possibly the safest method so far...

Is that to be read as you want... ( since you left out the most impt comma)

only mITX mobo?
itx solely

or

you are using only iGPU ie. no discrete card?
solely igpu

And why not just get the 7850K combo since you are using it as your desired reference? =:p

Russians at it too...

Just get the 7850K combo cos none of the Intel consumer level chips are anywhere near its iGPU performance.
thks for the info.

jeeezz, really hardcore to do delidding, doesn't the stress or static destroy the chips, as there seems to be no ESD prevention.

Catalyst 14.2 beta

Had been using the above beta driver for quite sometime now but can only found some time to do a MuseMage benchmark today... the results gave me quite a surprise!

Nice jump in scores from the previous beta driver indeed

May be worth your while to give the 14.2 beta a try and do report back here if you can... :)
