The belts are hand crafted so its actually customizable to some degree in the sense that you can specify the type of leather, the width, the buckle you want and also the colour.

I need 1 person to buy with me to share shipping so that the shipping including tracking is 6 pounds.

A 1.5" bridle leather belt will cost about 85-90 SGD including shipping ((31+6)x2.3=85)
You can choose vegetable tanned leather also which is cheaper

I can only advice on the colour pros and cons, it is ultimately up to you to decide.
Veg Tan leather, good aging properties, very obvious in real and on pics. Stained with indigo easily, (I love it) if you dont like then gotta be careful when wearing dry denim.
Black leather, aged well too, but very difficult to see on pics, only in real, you'll then see how nice it is. Black leather definitly covers indigo stain well, but if you use light colour threads, then you gotta be careful of the stains.

My personal leathers, please show your leathers too :)

Been using this long wallet on/off, leather aged, and I'm happy the denim is finally showing signs of fading.

Bonus picture : GF got this made when we dropped by 310woodland today. :)

Overall review for the rein : Just some brief email exchanges with Scasi and he made something which I wanted exactly just by referring to pictures I showed. Fast deal as well. Payment made on Wed and product received by mail on Friday.

Thumbs up for my first OGL made product.

STONE OIL LEATHER WORK

STONE OIL COWHIDE LEATHER SUPERIOR QUALITY
This leather has a deep richness because it has been treated with oils, waxes and dyes in such a way that when the leather is pulled or stretched, the finish becomes lighter in the stretched areas. Creating an “Old World” effect and “Aged” look.

An inspiration from the 50s bridge builder, who use similar pouch to store bolts and nuts.

My little leathercraft writeup

After gotten both parcels by Scasi and Lipsu from OGL, I immediately went to mink oil them as advised by Scasi. Though a greenhorn in leather products/leather aging, I will still give my honest opinions/feedbacks on these beauties as compared with a redmoon kids wallet i got awhile back.

After oil pics

These OGL crafted leather are as sturdy as the redmoon wallet i got before.

One most noticeable difference was that the smell of these wallets was much more pleasant ( in fact i like the smell ) than my RMs. It might be the process of the veg tan leather that causes the leather to smell differently. ( the RM smells like fibreboard >.< )
OGL 9/10 RM 6/10

The stitching on the OGL crafts are no doubt done with great care, with little flaws. Neat!
OGL 9/10 RM 9.5/10

Thread use on OGL craft are definitely thicker than the RM's as from what they claim from the previous pages on this thread.

Although i never got to meet Scasi for my wallet collection , I am amazed at how fast he replied my enquiries. ( never got a chance to meet the guy with this kind of passion in his works )

When it boils down to pricing, no doubt OGL will be on cheaper side. Even though they are just artisans catering handmade leather products, their services and the passion they put in will no doubt bring them on par or even better than RM.

IMO, these guys are really passionate on their work, crafting each piece with their best. If you guys want to experience leather aging and dont wish to pay ludicrous amount for a RM wallet, they are definitely a choice.

I'm giving them a 2 thumbs up

Thanks, Unique!
I'm a sucker for aging leathers. Show us the wallet(s) again when you are ready, I'm sure OGL's leather will aged nicely into your life :)

@Scasi and Lipsu
No problem man, continue to introduce leather to our society! thumbs up !

I feel that when people reach a certain stage in life , they will see things in a different light and appreciating the finest things in life. Like for me, i come to a stage whereby i appreciate leather and even denim, they now hold a special place in my heart. Fades, patinas and even textures of the materials are so pleasing to my eyes.

I will contribute my leather aging process from time to time.

Some shots of my RM kids wallet, it was my first veg tan leather wallet and i wasnt aware i should oil it =( ( pardon my lousy camera phone )

043.jpg

slight patina form through the contours of my card stacks

042.jpg

This is the characteristic of the veg tan leather , uneven aging !

ah...RM kids! No problem with camera phone, I still can see the forming shape of your cards on the external, the best part is the shining corner of the shape, man!
Nice progress :)
Oiling is a maintenance of leathers, you can do it now. As long as the leathers are not too dry, it is still not too late.
keep it up, bro!
