My OGL veg tan bracelet turned tan and slightly glossy. Any pro can explain why it turn glossy :D? Just curious hehs =:p

rub rub here, rub rub there and it will turn glossy :)

i think its normal ba, since you wear it on your wrist, chances are the leather will rub on things like table... blah blah...

just like leather boots, if you use a cloth to polish it, it will shine

those of u who own leather bracelets.
Do u oil both sides, inside and outside?

I was thinking if oil inside (the hairy part) is it abit strange coz it will come contact with skin...

@ Scribblemyname, nice colour scribble!

^Kazuki, I will oil both sides.
After oiling, will leave it to be absorbed before wearing again, so not much contact with wrist skin.

1 gd day of airing in sg climate should be alright?

coz the idea of having the mink oil soaking into skin doesnt sound healthy...:s16:

haha, quite true also.
Maybe in SG weather, dont need to oil the hairy part. Afterall, sometimes the perspiration on the wrist can cause the oil to be dampened again and contact with the skin.
However, my recommendation for full maintenance of natural leather is to oil both sides. One side also can, but it will be up to you guys. Perhaps I'm too fussy about these things :)

I think i will go for the surface only :)

sian thing is that there isnt any sun this wkend, no chance to sun my denim :(

On second thoughts, if it does help, I have tried using Vaseline on natural leathers before. No side effect. I know it is not very pro...but it does provide oiling effect too.

So maybe, you can try mink on the front side, and Vaseline on the back. Skin contacting with Vaseline should be ok ba :)

I apply LP on both side. Going to apply watershield on the underneath side since it will be in contact with my sweaty arms all of the time. Haha

A classic style wallet that I recently finished for myself because my work doesn't allow me to wear my long wallet:s27:

Horsehide exterior

Quite disappointed with my stitching on a couple of parts though. Definitely could have been better.
I kinda like this horsehide. Its not too even in color but I quite like that color texture. It also has a nice smooth feeling that the regular cowhide doesn't have.

Since I don't have a skiving tool (yet), it ended up pretty thick. Slightly more than 2cm when loaded.

Then heres a coin pouch that was finished some time ago
