Bro, a good riding jacket will have protective features which makes it difficult to wear for vanity purposes.

For proper riding gear, brands like Komine carried by Hodaka Motoworld is very affordable. Their higher end brand is RS Taichi. The smaller branch at Lavender though has a smaller inventory to select from, the staff Nick always provide very good service. Can't say so for those at the main branch in Kaki Bukit.

But since jacket can wear even if bike changes, I think it is worthwhile to invest in a good jacket which can wear for years. I bought Dainese for my gf, and never regretted it. The fit of a Dainese jacket is always superb.

I have seen people wear cheaper ones, improper fit, impede their movements, end up cause an accident which really is ironic because they wore the jacket for safety purpose in the first place.

I myself wear a Triumph Motorcycles leather jacket. The fit is not so fantastic, and I had to alter it. But I like it as it was the only leather jacket that is waterproof in the market at that time. (water still soaked in though when I rode for 8 hours in the rain once).

personally i only wear my RS taichi when i go touring, ever since i stop touring, the jacket is left at home as i find it is too bulky to wear for everyday riding. im looking for a leather jacket which is much more for vanity and gives minimal protection on the road as compared to wearing nothing ;D

pure riding brands make good jacket, but they are not suitable for everyday riding i guess.

actually to think of it.. i want something more for normal wear more than riding cause i only do 10km everyday now as workplace is near my home :D

Oh like that ah... then sorry I can't help la. I never bought leather jacket for normal wear before. But for everyday wear, lightweight, I would probably go for a mesh jacket.

i take it that u're a seasoned rider so just refreshing something which you'd already know: minimal protection - leather needs to be at least 1-2mm thick. and that is very hot, especially during the day
you'll probably enjoy it more wearing it to ride at night since it's pretty cool nowadays but come april-october, you'll be cursing and swearing already.

and i'm talking about normal wear leather jackets... ;)

^ Looking at the versatility of leather crafting, I'm sure it's possible to create a wrap around handle to cover that up. haha. no worries.

anyway, anyone with spare sgd869 should spend on these. ****ing crazy wallet. would love to have one. if not an exact replica customized. hehe
