definitely will have GST if we use comsgateway or vpost but if you have friends there that could buy on your behalf than that's a different story. did that before and siam GST and depending on where (which state) your source is when he/she ordered, there might be tax as high as 9.5 percent. by the time it gets here, assuming it managed to siam the GST, it will be less than 600 sgd - a price that's good for me. hope that helps. this was from reliable source.

comparing apple to apple. nexus 4 is cheaper. if we don't compare in terms of sg but take US as benchmark then it is still way cheaper though this phone is definitely for Android purists. note II cos around the same in US as SG without if you can find on that's unlocked. so it goes without say its price point is extremely attractive

Except locally they most likely don't care about this and will mark up the price significantly. Just look at nexus 7.

ya man. anyway. i got my nexus 7 from US. to be honest, it's cheaper by about 50 to 70 sgd nia, after the conversion. though i was hoping for more saving. haha

btw, nexus 4 it is for me and why nobody response to the white set har? cos' if there's white model on launch then i will be getting that else i am good with black too.

True, I miscalculated. Locally selling N7 isn't as expensive, but then again they arn't updated to reflect google's new pricing... SGD399 for 16GB when it is 299 in the US is actually a good price. But now that its USD199, its a bit ridiculous.

SG hardly adjust the price reflect in US de la. SG is like a mark up market lor

i think buying in or from us will be cheapest. Other regions such as australia, europe, hong kong etc all have some markup, iirc

since all of us more or less know that there will be markup, just standby to hoot from us on 13 Nov

In the end, we also don't know if this phone will be available in Singapore or not. Look at the galaxy nexus, local set only available abt 3 months later

Buying from other play stores other than US will be subjected to % tax, like from UK, their VAT is 21%, so their play store sells it at £239, abit higher than 21%.

I already got 4 friends interested so will try to bring in 10sets at least then see how. If possible, i might bring in more sets just to let those crazy sellers die cork standing, the premium they ask for is really WTF BBQ. 40% higher price, give me each set profit $20-40 already
good enough, still want to earn $150-200.

I bought my galaxy nexus for $830 no contract local set, how much do you think its worth now? Handphone price drop so fast that i don't see a point in buying a set covered by local warranty for even 10% more. Even buy from USA doesn't mean no warranty just need to send back to USA only.

I dunno he trying to be funny anot la, but I decided to just trade in to Singtel for $300 and be done with it. Good thing is I got the Nexus 2nd hand so the 'loss' not that big for me.

Cannot, i tried declaring USD99 on nexus 7 previously, and CGW get back to me via e-mail and does not allow me to proceed. They are aware of the RRP and require me to declare USD199 which was the actual price.
