do u really like using iTunes to sync? one of the perks of using Android is that we don't need such a suite :D media files can be easily drag/drop via MTP or other methods if you so wish.. (Airdroid/Myphone Explorer)

IMHO KIES is just another lousy Samsung copy/clone of 'iTunes functions' for people who dunno what they can do with their phone.. (maybe target iPhone-ish audience who just hopped over from iOS and need some more handholding).. normal IT savvy people could function everything w/o the KIES anyway..

Nah, I don't want it for syncing. I already use Google Music and Drag + Drop. What I want to do is to create a complete backup (SMS, calls, photos, apps, everything) on my computer, that the Nokia suite could do.

Of course, there's always the ADB command "adb backup -all -f C:\backup.ab" but for once I would like a solution without tinkering with SDK.

Guys, selling 1 black and 1 white Panasonic wireless charger.
Confirmed working as I am using one myself.

Looking at $88 for each charger. Prefer to deal in Sengkang.
PM me if you are interested.

There's always those GUIs that does the exact same adb commands, just look nicer only. :D

Other than the tones.. could be due to the position of the speaker grill (at back of N4) si boh? Bcos it's opening designed to flush along back of it's flat surface.. I tends to face it down on the front side or had it rest at an angle.

oh ya this, correct, because its position so if I face up then the sound will be muffled...

aiyo, why they put the speaker at the back, not under like most phones...

u can try MyPhone Explorer although it wasn't designed to have a 'one touch backup' button.. I don't recall any suite that backups apps as well.. (probably only iTunes) or some apps with backup function like Astro or Titanium backup etc.

on another note, there this new Chrome Beta available... reviews seems good..

It is not just the one touch backup, but also the auto-backup function (once I plug in or blue-tooth sync my phone it will back up everything), I can type SMS on my computer and the phone will send it (very useful for long/mass SMSes), and the ability to read backuped SMS a few years old.

Is Chrome beta better than Opera Mobile? I've tried Dolphin, Chrome and Firefox, but still prefer Opera.

I use MyPhone Explorer or Airdroid (see mood) to compose lengthy smses from my computer..

I used to use another SMS backup app, the rest I don't really care since i use Titanium Backup :D as well..

Not sure of suites which does autobackup function, MyPhone Explorer may do although I never tried to utilise such function..

Chrome is quite good now actually IMO..

Just downloaded Chrome Beta. Holy crap its fast.

Tested graphic heavy sites like pocketnow.com and it completely loads in 5 seconds.

Will continue to use and monitor it for a few more days.
I'm sure there are bugs since its only a beta.

Anyone used the photo sphere function yet? It's coolness makes up (a little) for the otherwise lacklustre camera.

Yea it's kinda cool. Takes a little capturing practice for it to render nicely.
I find the N4 camera's AI not as good as my S2's last time.

It has this indicator on where to point the camera during the operation which is helpful. Good that it's built right in. The stitching of the photos is comparatively good to the iOS app Photosynth but the former higher res I believed.

Sigh, another case. I am so paranoid right now. If it is within 15 days of shipping, try to return it to google. Some users have reported that google does give out RMA codes for cracked glass. Check out this link: Refunds, returns & replacements - Google Play Help

If it is after 15 days, check out their warranty policy:
Nexus 4 limited warranty - Google Play Help

In any case, contact Google support and see what they say.
