the nfc payment on the n4 only works with google wallet iirc. the local nfc payments require a secure sim which in turn needs openmobile api to work with the phone. n4 dont support that api unless someone builds it into a rom. so nfc payments is unlikely to work with n4 here

Run gallery app, DCIM folder will be created again.. Don't need to load full image again, a reset will do the same job

What do you mean? I have the StarHub Wallet SIM which I did use in my Samsung S3 with NFC. Now I have this same SIM in my N4.

Hi, would like to ask what are your base battery temperatures and how high it can go when using the phone. Mine hovers in the 33-34 range and can shoot up to 38-39 when just using Chrome. Not sure if its normal because it feels way warmer than my old phone (GNote)

I've rooted and installed Franco Kernel and set the thermal setting to 30 but it doesn't seem to have an effect.

If it is a defective phone, how do I send it back to Google? Bought it from a local retailer.

Mine gets up to around 34-36 with extended Chrome usage. Try turning down the minimum frequency to 384.

Its already at the 384. Did a reset and now the base is 30-32. With Chrome it now averages 34-36. Phew haha. This is one warm phone.

You'll have to very "lucky" to meet such a situation. Instead of thinking about such an unlikely scenario, wait for it to come first.

It will be a very troublesome and expensive procedure which not many people wish to get involve in. You would need to contact Google and they will create a RMA case for you. They will also charge you full amount of the set.

Then you would need to arrange to ship back ($$) to their US address taking about 1 to 2 weeks, servicing will take another 1 to 2 weeks if you are lucky. Once they receive the set, they will refund you the amount. After servicing, they will send back to only US address, you will be hatam with another cost of about S$20 to ship back to SG.
