The Nexus 4 Thread

Bought a Nexus 4 from a shop in Nanking recently. It is indeed an excellent phone but 3 weeks later the camera is not functioning. Touching the camera icon would prompt a message ' can't load camera error'.

A check with LG service centre and the reply was they are no servicing this phone.

I have tried re-booting and even unlock the Bootloader and rooted the phone but just could not revive the camera.

Now I am stuck with a smartphone without camera function!

Brothers out there who own this phone - wondering you encounter such problem?

how come LG says no servicing ? i thought they agreed to service nexus 4 but we have to pay for it ?

For the camera function, I see there are 4 modes. Normal, video, panorama, and what's the last mode available? Can't seem to figure out how to use the last mode. Can some one please enlighten me. Thanks

Thanks for the guide. Bought the nexus 4 because wanted something different from the usual Iphones and galaxy models from Samsung. Been using it for a day and so far it's been very good and fast. No regrets so far.

Another tip, rotate the phone around the center of the camera lens to eliminate parallax error. The nodal point of the camera is right infront of the lens.

Since I throw all of my games to my Nexus 7, the 8GB Nexus 4 pretty much did it for me. I don't put music/videos on my phone. Just some productivity and social apps.

Nexus 4 's Worth

Hi,

My friend got his Nexus 4 for two wks old. It has a slight dent at the bottom right hand corner.

He is willing to sell it for sgd 444 to me.

Is this price worth it?

I can re-contract in June 8th with Starhub, besides,
3G connection with Starhub and nexus 4 is ****ty eh?

How? or get S4?

Just got mine from SGBest...wanted to move on from Galaxy Nexus as its charging issue became critically bad recently.
Nexus 4 looks good...yes, having restored all my apps, does appear to run faster... now looking out for a good leather case, screen protector, etc.

Google nodal point, can't really explain here.

Basically if you rotate around the nodal point of the lens, you will have little/no parallax error, so chances of getting a perfect photoshpere is higher.
