the price is a really good sellin point. i dun mind grabbing one to replace my ailing Nexus S as development phone

thing is: just how much more ex will it be, if it comes to singapore eventually? :o

will it become like the Nexus 7 pricing? like US$249 becomes SG$399? maybe we can expect a US$299 to become SG$500 eventually? :s22:

On the flipside, the lower price makes it an argument to forgo the warranty concerns and just ship it in.

But still not sure whether to go that route. :(

Slow lane: why Google's new Nexus 4 doesn't have LTE | The Verge

Andy Rubin put it this way: "Tactically, we want to make sure the devices are available for every network on the planet." For now, that means that the Nexus 4 will only be available as an unlocked HSPA+ device. Whether the fault lies more with carriers for forcing Google’s hand or with Google for refusing to work within the standard carrier model, the end result is a flagship phone that’s missing an essential flagship feature.

The price is very attractive indeed for the specs.

Just wondering if I could live without expandable storage and removable batteries.

Sadly, flashing custom roms on non-Nexus devices come with compromises as well. Many hardware/device specific features go kaput.

For those who die die wanna stay on 3G, at least there's this choice. :(

Haiz....I'm ok with 16gb, but the battery is a very sore point. :(

There's a couple of ways to do that.
Either using an online concierge to get it, or buy direct from places like adorama etc. Alternatively if you have friends in US, they can get it for you.

Battery wise I'm ok as most of us don't use a phone that long anyway. And I already have a battery pack to negate that although it's always preferable to have a removable batter.
I'm actually more sore about the 16gb capacity and if anything, Google might just go down the route of the Nexus 7 and introduce a 32gb version later. Sucks for the early adopter. In this age, 16gb is filled up really quick.

Although with a pure Nexus, there is an app to use USB drive with OTG cable.

The low price is something that is interesting to me.

Interesting. Mind sharing what is this app btw?
