Hey guys, just wondering if there's a way to sync my contacts from facebook and twitter to my phonebook.

I tried to sync using the stock phonebook app but it didn't work. I did manage to do so with facebook after using uber sync, but twitter to no avail.

Am I doing something wrong?

Anyway, this is my first Android ever, and so far it's not too bad of an experience. Jumped from WP7.5, and this contacts thing is the first thing I find WP really do better than Android (or at least in my experience), where everything literally just works out of the box.
This is unique to Nexus models, due to Google's "anger" toward's Facebook's not sharing of user data, they removed FB syncing, need apps like uber or Haxsync to work.

Twitter-wise it appears to be something that twitter removed a long time ago, strangely.
Google Groups

So if twitter doesn't fix it in their client, then no go. It works on other models with UI overlays because those manufacturer built that functionality in. Lack of bloatware goes both ways, and in this situation, not to your liking. :)

I have a very newbie question. I believe we all know that there is some issues with the current stock baseband on 4.22.

So i try my first time to unlock bootloader and flashed Cyanogen rom last night, and realised that i am still having problems with my 3G signal. I am still unable to receive whatsapp on time and get responsive internet browsing, i cant stream radio without frequent drops saying that there is no internet.

Custom ROMs .zips usually don't have a radio included..

As far as I know, no custom ROMs included things like radio and bootloader in their flashable zips..

Flash the .27 version baseband. Helps with the issue though won't solve it totally.

What can i do to improve radio performance? should i flash a kernel ? or flash a new different baseband ?

Which Baseband do you recommend ?

from my experience fb n twitter apps they will only sync when their phone number is in their profile.

go to contacts/display options

make sure the accs are checked.

Issues connecting to Starhub or Singtel

Hey Guys, I got my new LG Nexus 4. I am having issues connecting to Singtel or Starhub network. I tried the SIM card that was already working on my previous phone. Nexus phone does not connect to the network. Is there any tweak required to connect to singtel or starhub?

No tweak is required.

Try a different SIM card. If it works, get your current SIM card changed. If it doesn't, GLHF.

IMO same internals as the N4, just a better camera, I can justify the 150USD difference but after using stock Android, I detest skins, and the Find 5 is heavily skinned, just looking at the Settings UI already repels me lol.. So, no, I'd still choose the N4 over the Find 5.

To each their own :)
