I flashed the D820 modem and can receive our LTE. That's all i know.

I dont know if it's the ultimate phone

i think what he meant is that he flashed D820 modem into his D821 and still receive LTE locally. I wonder if anyhow have tried the other way round.

its all the same file, check the md5 for D820 and 821

only different version. the latest one is .23

from my experience, the old one .17 is better

D820 n D821 modem file are the same. The difference between D820 n D821 lies in the hardware configuration of the modem. So, u can safely flash either d820 or d821 modem file to either of the phones, but it would not change the lte bands the phone is born with.

Battery life for me has been superb so far, but mine's a US model so no LTE. Much better than my Nexus 4, and in fact better than any Android phone I've had so far. Easily lasts a day.

Additional note:
Reading other bros' posts, there are situations where the Google Play store in Nexus 5 defaulted to Japan when logging in using the e-mail which you ordered from. I can confirm that this is not the case for both my phones. I am not sure why though.

I have not been using the phone since I received it (go holiday), but midway during my holiday, the Google Play store in my Galaxy Nexus switched to Japan store, and upon reaching home, checking the Nexus 5 Play store also shows Japan store! So I guess it will affect everyone after all.

Hi all, with reference to my previous post, the switching of Google Play Store region to Japan will still affect the account used to buy the phone. Although I doubt this is a dealbreaker for everyone.

Everyone already knew this. Supposed to log in with your old Gmail.
Either that or just flash a custom rom? Should solve the problems you facing right?

Yeap, I thought when I set it up, it showed local region Play Store, maybe there was a way around. But it is not a big problem for me since I installed all the apps I need before the store was switched. Just wanted to share my own experience.

Anyway, are there anyone using ART runtime before updating to 4.4.2 (or 4.4.1)? My phone switched back to Dalvik (without me touching any settings) after the update, so just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this.
