hi need some advice. am contemplating buying a jap set (friend is going japan) or a local set (i reside in a google play store country that sells the nexus 5).

the jap set would be 120 sgd cheaper, but of course i wouldnt have the warranty.

like to check if bros who bought the jap set anyone experience any defects? am thinking is the extra 120 worth the warranty? thanks!

Jap sets have not much defects so far, if not you'll see plenty of complaints here~ QC gao gao.

in europe. its 340 euros for the 16gb set, compared to 39800 yen for the one in japan...

Europe is the most expensive place to get a Nexus IIRC. Either that or India.

Well, i would get the Jap set if i were you, any issues just get a RMA, they'll send you a new set before you even have to send yours back~

And well.. Rather the postage than the cost of getting one in Europe.

Last SHOUTOUT to people interested in my MO, left with less than 24 hours to make an order!

So far, response has been fantastic, with all those originally interested already made their payments.

I've already told the supplier i will be ordering the cases immediately at 12am later today so that we can all get our cases ASAP (including myself =D)

He has said that we will receive it within 4 days usually. Because it took him 5 days to send to Australia because their customs had regulations to follow.

But ours only need pay GST if above $400, so won't happen to us. Only deciding factor now is SingPost. Let's hope they buck up this holiday period~

The sets bought from Google Japan are made in Korea. All the sets from Google Play, regardless of country, are made in Korea right? If so, QC shouldn't be too bad right.......

You should be receiving the notification on the shipping fees later in the day. Make the payment promptly and it should be shipped out tomorrow.

Mines just been shipped out by Tenso Japan (jshoppers) yesterday.

I don't think so you know. It's quite strange really. So far to be honest, I've seen basically 0 defects on hwz.
Be it, vibration motor, screen pixels, power buttons. There's none I remember.

But if you check out xda. There are hundreds of people having this issue. Even after 2 rmas.

I'd just like to think the qc in japan's Google play is higher.

defects normally caused by land shipping/ freaking long shipping.
japan to sg only 6 hours flight
sg so small for land delivery lol

Hi all, got a little question to ask,I'm using tenso forwarder, but what's the courier when it came to SG? plus I'm working weekdays daily how I'm gonna get the package if they delivered during working hours?

EMS = speedpost in singapore.. must be slow as well..
the object value is declared as 44800yen for shipping instruction as well by jshopper tenso
