Hey guys, how do you extend your nexus 5 battery life. Mine seems to be depleting at an alarming rate.

Hey guys, how do you extend your nexus 5 battery life. Mine seems to be depleting at an alarming rate.

I am on stock and I am able to last about 24 hours from a full charge to 60% Here is what I did.

- Enabled ART
- Disabled auto-sync
- Lower brightness of display to around 5% (the screen is really bright)
- Lock the phone (off the screen) whenever not in use

Screen On Duration is about 2 hrs and 10 mins.

Never tried a full discharge before as it degrades battery life.

anyone checked their CPU binning via terminal?
dmesg | grep PVS
there's a thread on-going at xda comparing the CPU binning and how much you can undervolt based on that. Apparently, the higher the PVS level the more you can undervolt.CPU Binning on the Nexus 5 - xda-developers

I got a PVS 2, and I could undervolt -75 across and 650 for 300mhz.
it really helped with the battery life

You have to pay GST for whatever goods you buy from overseas imported to SG with declared value more than SGD$400 (inclusive of freight, insurance, etc charges).
