Bought mine in Mid-Dec, it's a 311K set, not sure what are the current batches they're shipping out now.

Mine recently ship but it's 310. But doesn't matter got no problem. Don't be over sensitive about the batch number.

I seconded this, I am using 310 version and the buttons are all rock solid.

Mine came down yesterday and it is 310k as well and no problem whatsoever: no light-bleeding, solid buttons and vibration motors.

Anyway, I was coming from a Galaxy S III contract with Singtel, so it was a 3G plan. From what I heard, I can just put in the old SIM card into the N5 and it should work, right?

However, I am not getting the LTE now. Must I call Singtel or something?

From what you mentioned it seems you are on a 3G plan so why would you expect LTE? Better explanation please?

I think he's asking how to get LTE. In this case not sure if can call singtel and change his plan to 4G or need to go down to singtel centre to get it done.

I was asking that whether I need to get it activated somehow. Last I heard, the SIM card needn't be changed to use 4G and I can just use right away. Apparently I was wrong...

I tried to find the 4G VAS, but it doesn't even show up in My Singtel app and website

Should be no need to change sim card. Previously when I changed over from Samsung Galaxy S3 to S4, they didn't change my sim card, just update my plan.

Are you even on a 4g plan?
Sim card doesn't matter,
Is your plan 12gb or 2gb?
If 12 you are on a 3g only plan.

As Far as m1 is concerned. The apn doesn't matter as well.

phone 1688 to ask if you can activate it (for free, or sign new plan etc)

For now it can.
Go settings, wireless and networks, more mobile network. See if you selected 4g.

And is your Nexus 5 the jap or aus set..

Japan set... I have set the connection to LTE but at the moment still only getting HSPA.

I guess I'll wait till tomorrow and update you guys how it goes... They did say it takes 1 working day after all
