Wireless charger usually quite hot as their energy conversion not that efficient, ends up lesser electricity but more heat conversion..

If too hot then probably stop since higher temperature not that healthy to battery longevity.

the newer generation of wireless charger dont have heat problem and energy conversion has greatly improved. Can achieve about 70% efficiency...

im using the metran myself for my lumia 1520.

No no, it does not work this work.

You see,

Both the modem in d820 and d821 are not doubt the same modem and use the same firmware.

But the hardware config in d820 and d821 is different.

Unless you are very very confident in your electronic modding skills, you will not you able to switch between the two configs.

I faced this issue before. Don't think it is much of a problem.
