Just buy a glass protector from ebay?
Cheap ones are about $5 only, and the thinner ones are about $10... prices includes shipping to SG.

Bought the screen online for US $94 and replaced it myself after watching YouTube how to replace screen or dissemble the phone video.

Can you please provide a link of where you bought it from? Also, how is the quality?

quality seem ok screen is good as new. only issue its meant for black N5, so doesn't come with front white gauze and the frame isn't glossy, its matt like the one for black N5.

sometimes i get a black screen with the camera icon and it refused to start.

sometimes it start up normally and when i switch to the front or back, it will hang.

Will N5 be sold at next week's COMEX show?

I am currently having a Note3, and I intend to have a spare hp (perhaps N5) and looking forward to buy the N6 as my main hp.

Cheapest is still on q10 for a 16gb at $399.., dont mind a used one since its a spare one.

Would be awesome if they can minimise the bezels and keep the physical size the same as the N5. Keep the design language the same as the N5 too and I'll be one happy camper.

I really don't see a need for a QHD display on a 5" - 6" screen to be honest..I'd rather save the battery life.

Nexus phones are never meant to be sold by 3rd party or telcos. We should blame Google for not having selling them here in singapore Google play store.

You need to contact google japan to inform them your device is faulty.
Then ask for rma address and send back to them in full box.

That's what i did previously
Email to googleplay-support@google.com, don't bother calling the hotline, it is link to USA Google, they can't process your Jap N5.

Just state your N5 is jap version and is faulty and need replacement,
they will reply you with a link to re-purchase a replacement unit.
*Just re-purchase, they will not charge you if you return the faulty unit ( Best use Credit instead of Debit Card, as they will hold the N5 amount if you use debit, while credit only hold your Credit Balance).

They will also ask you to send back to their Japanese RMA Store.

1. How do I save a new number straight to sim card, I couldn't find any of the settings.


2. Any settings to show the battery percentage beside downloading apps?

u guys give singapore too much credit..it's just a tiny speck and the number of users that will be a nexus at full price (without subsidies from telco) is even smaller.

take a population of 4+ million, calculate that 75% of us are using smartphones which is 300000,i reckon only at max 1% of these 300000 which is 30000 will be potential customers. Setting up a shop in singapore just to sell 30000 devices that doesn't have high profit margin (the nexus device were selling near cost price)...there is just no business case for it. I very much like google to sell it in singapore official too but facts are facts...it WILL NEVER happen.
