Lai lai. Benchmark your hdd and post the screenshot here. A great way for ppl to compare different hdds before buying.

Download HD Tune 2.55 here.


For a fair comparison please go to options and set (under benchmark tab):

Test Speed/Accuracy: Set it max towards Accurate
Block Size: 64 KB (should be default)

Funny... Bought another WD6400BEVT - 00A0RT0 and the benchmark is slower than the first I bought. The 2 HDDs is made on same day.

This is a 1 year old setup. Hard disks are about a year old.

2x WD Caviar Blue 2x320GB=640GB in RAID 0

Swapped out my RAID 0 of 2x WD Blue 320GB as RAID 0 is not reliable enough for me.

Got the Samsung F3 1TB (2 500GB Platters). Here's the benchie

p6zx


Can't compare to a RAID 0 in terms of speed but so far running well and fast for a single non raid storage solution.
It's made in China.
